Tape pattern onto pumpkin.
Using carving saw, start cutting delicate areas on a low setting. Use high setting for thick areas. If you don't have a carving saw, use a tool to poke holes in pattern. Use flour to fill holes, so you know where to cut.
After carving, soak the pumpkin in a bucket of water for a few minutes to prevent pumpkin from shrinking. Remove. Let dry completely.
Rub petroleum jelly on cut areas to keep edges from drying out.
Insert tea candle. If it is hard to remove candle, use a long matchstick and relight through design holes.
